Quality Assurance
Locktiten's custom manufacturing strives for the highest customer satisfaction. Continuous improvement on quality control, calibrating inspection apparatus, adopting innovative methods in quality inspection, and rigorous training are the fundamentals of ensuring quality. We also take much importance on improving manufacturing processes in addition to training operators systematically, which increases yield rate, and reduce the burden on quality assurance. Locktiten has established a system of supplier screening procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our products. All of Locktiten's suppliers are ISO 9001 certified, and a few are awarded with TS16949 certification. Therefore, we are qualified and have been serving intralogistic, oil exploration, water and waste water, cemetery construction, special fasteners, automotive, transportation and many more industries since the beginning of our business.
As of today, most of our customers appreciate our efforts on quality assurance and professional mechanical engineering advice. All of Locktiten's employees are committed to serve our customers whole-heatedly by continuously improving quality, offering mechanical engineering expertise and ensuring on-time delivery. Starting from material screening, Locktiten would strictly select qualified suppliers that offers materials conforming to specifications, inspect incoming materials and examine materials certificates carefully. Equally importantly, we refuse to receive conflict materials, and thus our material suppliers would have to prove the origin of materials before we agree to use their materials.
Throughout our organization, every employee are trained with basic concepts of quality. Other than written quality policy, senior engineers would lead junior engineers to take the concepts into practice, passing down the experience of how the quality of our products and services should be executed. Dimensional inspections and quality testing methods are all documented to ensure every aspects of our products are produced according to prints before shipping out. Critical dimensions, surface precautions, hardness degree, densities and so on are all clearly regulated and inspected.
Records of inspection are kept for future reference. A variety of gauges, calipers, hardness tester, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and many other quality testing equipment are regularly used for quality assurance and well-maintained. Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) is one or the most advanced quality assurance equipment, and we rely on it when needed to help with quality assurance.
Periodically, Locktiten would inspect and calibrate the quality control apparatus, including measuring and testing equipment. We would require our suppliers to do the same, even ask their apparatus to be checked by original factory or testing laboratories. This is crucial to maintain consistent quality. Corrective and preventive action (CAPA) are specified to eliminate potential or actual causes of non-conformities. When non-conformities happen, Locktiten has clear procedures to detect and eliminate the root cause of non-comformities to ensure the same issue would not reoccur. All of our flow charts, control plans, product prints and all of the documents pertaining to quality assurance and manufacturing procedures are well-kept and up-to-date.
It is crucial to ensure everyone in the organization only use current revision documents. Handling, storage, package and shipping of materials and products are also clearly regulated. The environment of the warehouse is well-controlled to protect toolings, products and materials from deteriorating, and thus quality is secured. We would conduct periodic quality audits on our suppliers to ensure all of the procedures pertaining to quality are conforming with the regulations of ISO9001. This is to help our suppliers maintain or even improve yield rate, and customer would receive the finest quality products. Internal quality audits would also be conducted continuously to maintain the effectiveness of Locktiten's quality system.
