Plastic Extrusion
Plastic extrusion is suitable for producing soft and long items, which is usually serves as cushions, seals or many other applications. The cross section of extruded products are fixed, and it is the benefit of extrusion that products with complex cross section can be achieved. Commonly used materials are PVC, ABS, PE, PS, PU, PP, PC, TPR, TPE, HIPS or rubber. Other materials could be extruded for special purposes.
Locktiten has a variety of items need extruded parts as cushion. However, Locktiten and our strategic partners are able to design and produce special profile extrusion parts for many more applications, such as a variety of seals for doors and windows, bumpers, belts, wire casings, wall protection, pipes, PVC channels, edge bands, decoration strips, LED lamp covers, dust proofing seal and so on. Tube extrusion is the most common type of extrusion, but the volume is large. Locktiten is capable of designing more high end extruded parts, such as co-extrusion, using two or more different resins to create an extruded part with several colors, or a few features in one extruded part for special purpose. Crosshead extrusion includes metal strips or wires in the extruded products to offer reinforcement to the product.
